Float X2 2021–2025 Full DIY Rebuild Toolkit
⚠️ You MUST Read the Full Manual Before Buying This Tool kit
This shock is extremely easy to damage. If you skip the manual, you will break the shaft clamps or strip critical internals. The hardest part is really clamping the smal 3/8 inch damper shaft to unscrew the eyelet. Click on the big red button to read that manual and please do it, or just don't buy the kit if you don't plan on reading it.
Always depressurize the IFP AND open the bleed screw slowly. These shocks often stay pressurized even after releasing IFP pressure due to internal aeration of the oil. If you skip this step, the damper can shoot oil.
View the Shaft Clamp Usage ManualIf you don’t feel confident, do not buy this tool kit. I’m not here to make money off mistakes. I built these tools to help people service their shocks safely. If you won’t take the time to read the manual, this isn’t the tool for you. Please, save yourself the trouble.
Your all-in-one service kit for Fox Float X2 shocks (2021–2025). Covers both 50h/200h dynamic seal service and optional static seal access if you need a full teardown. Everything works at home, no pro-shop required.
Buy the MTB Hydraulics seal kit if you don't plan to open the piggyback, damper body, or adjusters. It's cheaper than the Fox kit and just as good, even better in our experience. If you're replacing static seals, get the full Fox kit instead.
Tip: If your lockout lever doesn’t work, it’s usually just trapped air or old oil. A regular bleed often brings it back to life, no need to open the adjuster or damper.
Do not forget to get yourself a schrader valve core tool!

Bleeding Tips
This shock is hard to bleed by hand. Use the glove method (glove stretched over damper tube&piggy back, and press to force oil through the valving for 15-20 minutes) and let it sit overnight. Small hissing at first compression is normal and clears after a few rides. We’re working on a syringe-compatible fitting for easier bleeds soon, we found a cheap solution! We will test it soon.
Alternative “No-Eyelet” Setup
Not available for this generation : no “open-from-under” option yet. We're testing pin-extension sockets for future release.
Please Don’t Buy All Clamp Heights
If you're about to get every stroke length, just buy the real Fox clamp and select 3/8inch. These kits are for home use, not shop environments. If you ever need a second size later, grab it here.
Anyway because of the bigger 3/8 shaft, the narrow clamp will probably work great on all strokes.
It takes us 16 extra hours with the full DIY tool kit to make a full triple-size run, don’t make us and do your homework. If you need this, you probably shouldn't be on this website and buy the real fox tools. This is going to be even more expensive than the real metal clamp.
