Graduated IFP Depth ToolÂ
Accurately set your damperâs internal floating piston (IFP) with our dual-scale, precision-calibrated depth tool. Works across all major brands.
Key Features
- Graduated in both mm and inches:Â perfect for any shock manual
- Built-in twist-lock mechanism:Â no screws or bolts, locks instantly
- Fits nearly all piggyback shocks (Fox, RockShox, EXT, Cane Creek, etc.)
- Removable tip:Â ideal if you need to set IFP depth from inside the body
- Made of high-strength PETG: wonât scratch delicate surfaces
What Itâs For
This tool is perfect for most piggyback shocks where the IFP sits near the top of the reservoir. If youâre rebuilding shocks like the Float X2, DPX2, Super Deluxe, DHX2, etc., this is the tool you want.
Note: If your shock does not have a piggyback and the IFP depth is longer than 50 mm (like most Monarch R, RT3, RL, and other inline-style shocks), youâll need the Extra-Long IFP Depth Tool instead.
How It Works
- Find the IFP depth required for your shock.
- Twist to lock the collar in place.
- Gently push the IFP to the correct position from the reservoir opening.
- Close the bleed screw and pressurize the system to spec.

Important Notes
- This is a final step tool, use only after bleeding is complete and damper is sealed
- Not suitable for inline shocks with IFP depths deeper than 50 mm, use the Extra-Long tool for those
- Clean all surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and never force the piston into place
