Always depressurize air and damper circuits before disassembly. If your shock or fork is still pressurized, removing the eyelet, sealhead or opening the damper in general can cause injury or damage.
TTX22m Shaft Clamp
Designed specifically for Öhlins TTX2m coil shocks. This clamp fits the unique 9.87 mm damper shaft found only on these models, a size that does not match standard 10 mm or 3/8″ clamps.
⚠️ Product photo shows a DHX2 3/8″ clamp as an example. The actual TTX22 clamp is sized differently and made for tighter tolerance.
What It Does
This clamp securely holds the narrow 9.87 mm shaft of the TTX22m coil in your bench vise. It allows safe removal of the eyelet or valving stack without damaging the shaft. It’s a safer alternative to clamping directly on the eyelet.
- Fits: Öhlins TTX22m Coil only
- ❌ Not compatible: With other Öhlins, FOX, or RockShox shocks
✅ Tip: Standard 10 mm clamps will not fit this shaft correctly. This dedicated clamp is the safest way to work on a TTX22m without slipping.
Setup Instructions
- Clean the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, remove all oil and residue
- Wrap the shaft in a dry paper towel for extra grip and surface protection
- Apply even vise pressure, never overtighten
- Heat the eyelet threads if Loctite was used, Öhlins may use high-strength compound
