Universal Rear Shock Dummy Tool

This tool replaces your rear shock temporarily so your frame doesn’t collapse during maintenance, shipping, or storage. Strong, simple, and easy to adjust. Set the length, and your bike is supported.

Adjustable range: 165 mm up to 250 mm eye-to-eye (and beyond, up to ~266 mm for legacy sizes). One rotation adds 10mm, you can adjust the length in 2 seconds. Works for any kind of linkage, even yokes.

Key Features

  • M10 threaded eyelets only: One size fit all, quick and easy.
  • Optional trunnion adapter:Β two long threaded M10 bolts for trunnion-mounted frames
  • Thread-and-align system: rotate until the Triangle points to your shock length (close enough is fine) and going 10mm under is a good practice.
  • Heavy-duty polymer body: thick, strong material that can stay in the bike all winter or in the shop and easily hold the weight on the bike while hanged.
  • Quick frame support: keeps bikes upright and usable while shocks are out and you can even lower the dropper post.
⚠️ How to set length: Align the arrow just above your target number. Example: for a 185 mm shock, set the arrow over β€œ185.” For 230 mm, use 225, it doesn’t need to be exact. We recommend going a bit under because the eyelets are M10 (for simplicity) so if there is slack and you hang the bike, the linkage can extend and contact the frame.
Imperial shock sizes:
Convert inches Γ— 25.4 to mm. Example: 7.875" = 200 mm β†’ set tool to 195 mm. Works with older imperial lengths (8.5" / 216 mm, 9.5" / 241 mm, 10" / 254 mm, 10.5" / 266 mm) by extending the threaded body slightly past the last mark.
Includes:
  • Main adjustable body (165 mm–250 mm+ range)
  • M10 threaded eyes by default
  • Optional trunnion adapter
