• 10 mm Shaft Clamp (shared by GRIP damper and air shaft)
• Dust Wiper Seal Press Tool (your selected fitment)
• Lower Leg Driver (damper/air driver of your choice)
• Plastic NA2 Bullet Tool for 10 mm Fox air shafts

Make sure you also have the basic fork tools.

Clamp only flat or square areas, this is all you need for both damper and air-spring service.

• Fox 4wt: damper + damper-side lowers

• Remove top cap using cassette tool or socket
• Slide out air shaft, wipe clean, inspect seals + shaft
• Replace main piston and sealhead o-rings if worn
• Apply a light coat of Slickoleum on piston + shaft seals
• Do NOT over-grease the air piston

• You can rebuild the damper without clamps, just use soft jaws and clamp only flat sections.
• Change IFP o-ring, thread seal, and base-valve o-ring. No need to open shim stacks unless re-valving (rare).
• Fox 38 NA2: you MUST unscrew the air-shaft tip nut to remove the air piston and inspect grease under it.
• Fox 40: needs SPA-1 pin wrench to remove the air piston.
• Never insert the damper shaft fully after bleeding, leave 2–3 cm from the top or the damper will be underfilled.
• Grease dust-wiper interiors + lower-leg bushings with SRAM Butter.

• Clamp only square flats, NEVER round surfaces or the damper body
• Mid-valve nut is plastic, extremely fragile
• Always depressurize air and damper before opening
• Do not overfill the damper, it will spray when installing compression assembly
