WARNING: This is an air shock. Always release pressure gradually from the air spring, never all at once, or it may "truck down" and pull itself in violently.
After that, fully release all pressure from both the air spring and the damper before disassembly. This is a pressurized system, always treat it with care.
You donβt need to remove the adjusters unless theyβre leaking, theyβre sealed and usually fine for years.
This kit works for all 2023+ Super Deluxe Air models, including Ultimate and Select+ versions.
Β Design Note
This updated version features a modular piggyback and adjuster assembly, meaning you can upgrade to the Ultimate version later. It also includes a fixed (non-adjustable) Hydraulic Bottom-Out (HBO) system, unlike the external HBO knobs on the coil models.
Β IFP Air Fill Adapter (Required)
Like all RockShox shocks, youβll need an IFP air valve adapter to pressurize the damper side with your shock pump:

Β Trunnion Shock Tip
If your Super Deluxe is Trunnion-mounted (M10 bolt on each side instead of a standard eyelet), we highly recommend using a Trunnion Shock Vise Holder/Torque Tool.
The shock body sits very close to the mounting tabs, this tool gives you clearance and safe torque alignment during reassembly.
Here is a good Super Deluxe aftermarket Seal kit we really like and it's a lot cheaper.
Β What's Included
- 1/2" Shaft Clamp : Required to open the sealhead safely
- M5 IFP Puller : Required to remove the internal floating piston
- IFP Depth Tool
Everything else can be done with basic shop tools, strap wrench, Allen keys, and a bleed syringe.

- Select R / Select+ models: IFP Depth = 35 mm
- Ultimate / Ultimate DH models: IFP Depth = 41 mm
- Damper Pressure: 200 psi
- Recommended Oil: Maxima Plush 7wt
Β Bleeding Tips
This shock uses a twin-tube layout (similar to the 2017β2022 version) and can be a bit tricky to bleed properly.
