All pin sockets are built with stainless steel press-fit pins and printed using carbon-infused thermoplastic for strength and precision. Our tolerances are tuned to 0.01 mm and every design goes through 4–5 test iterations (sometimes 10..) before release.

Important Notes
- You can technically open the 2021+ Float X2 sealhead with a strap wrench, but this can damage the Q-Cup Seal on the air piston.
- A strap wrench also can't deliver the correct torque, you risk damaging the damper body.
- We don’t sell tools unless we believe they’re truly needed. If you’re doing a budget service and just want to open the part once, you might be fine with a strap wrench, just be careful.
- We also make custom split sockets to open the Float X2 2019-2020, allowing you to access the sealhead without removing the eyelet. This can be useful if you just want to change the shock oil or clamp it from below to increase clamping surface area. For some Float X2 models with 9 mm shafts (2016–2020), I highly recommend doing it this way instead of removing the eyelet first the area is so narrow that the clamp might fail if not done perfectly. Make sure to read the Float X2 Shaft Clamps instructions before you even consider attempting this.
Recommended Wrench
All our pin sockets are compatible with our Two-Sided Custom Pin Socket Wrench. It fits both our 24mm and 32mm sockets with zero play and includes 16 cm spacing for luggage scale torque calculation.
