Fox Fork Damper Ultimate Clamp Set GRIP + FIT + All Shaft Sizes
The last clamp set you'll ever need for Fox fork dampers, includes clamps for both FIT and GRIP damper bodies, plus 8mm and 10mm shaft clamps for all Fox damper and air shafts.
I Charge a bit more for that one because you won't ever have to buy anything else for fox fork dampers.
The clamps in the real pictures are not the Fox fork Damper Ultimate Clamp setΒ but are still a good exemple of the capabilities of the clamps.
β οΈ Warning: Never clamp directly on a damper body or shaft without the proper tool. Always clean with isopropyl alcohol and wrap in paper towel (1 layer) to reduce required clamping force.
Usage manuals:

- Clamp Small Shafts

Β What It Does
- Clamps both FIT and GRIP damper bodies safely during bleeding and disassembly
- 8mm clamp covers older FIT and certain GRIP/VVC forks with smaller shafts
- 10mm clamp fits most Fox air shafts and damper shafts
- Allows full sealhead access, rebound/mid-valve removal, and shim stack service
Β Compatibility Notes
- Fits Fox 32, 34, 36, 38, and 40 forks
- Covers all GRIP (1, 2, X, X2, VVC) and FIT (RC2, FIT4) dampers
- If you have a Step-Cast or FIT Terralogic fork (even more rare..), I think its around 25mm.
- These older Terralogic dampers require tons of cone wrenchs though, you might not be able to open it..
Tech Notes:
- GRIP dampers are IFP-style and easier to service
- FIT dampers are bladder-style and take longer to bleed (see FIT Bleeding Tips)
- Both use Fox 4wt damper oil
- GRIP dampers are IFP-style and easier to service
- FIT dampers are bladder-style and take longer to bleed (see FIT Bleeding Tips)
- Both use Fox 4wt damper oil
Older Fit RC2 Dampers used red 10wt oil but it's discontinued so use 10wt green oil instead.
Β Bleeding Tips for FIT Dampers
- Use a bare hose from a brake bleed kit and stick it in the LSC needle hole to gravity bleed the bladder chamber.
- For the fit RC2, you can use a bigger 8mm ID tube to go all around the assembly on the top cap.
- I used a kitchen funnel one time and it worked great, I will include the picture lol.
- Remove the screw, add oil, cycle slowly, and squeeze the bladder to release air
- Donβt open the bladder unless damaged, very tricky to reinstall properly
