Deluxe Fox Lower Leg Removal Tool | Damper & Air
The upgraded dual-side driver for safely knocking out both damper and air shafts during lower-leg service. One tool replaces two separate Fox drivers.
What It Does
- One end fits Fox/Marzocchi air shafts
- Other end uses a replaceable threaded tip for damper shafts
- Protects VVC rods / meter rods from impact damage
- Built for rubber mallet or wood block impact (no metal-on-metal)
- Same soft tips as our Basic Driver

Why it’s cheaper: Fox sells both tools separately (~$100 each). This replaces both.
How To Use It
- Release all air
- Remove rebound adjuster (2mm)
- Loosen both lower-leg nuts
- Remove plastic crush washers if possible
- Thread the tip fully onto the rebound shaft until it bottoms
- Strike with rubber mallet while holding fork upright
- Repeat on air-shaft side (only 2-3 turn, don’t bottom it)
- Slide off lowers and here we go!
Never hit the center damper rod directly.

Important Warnings
Do not strike the shaft directly. The tool transfers load around the VVC/mid-valve rod exactly as Fox intended.

Facile à utiliser! Avant je cognais directement sur les foot nuts avec une douille et un marteau, la technique est bonne, mais elle les endommage. Si tu veux faire le travail facilement et sans laisser de traces, tu as besoin de cet outil!

Effectivement, on peut toujours s'arranger mais honnêtement, avoir des outils qui rendent la tâche plus efficace ou sans risque, ça enlève de la perte de temps et du stress inutile.
En plus, considérant que mes outils coutent vraiment pas grand chose comparé aux outils officiels pour les bike shops, ça vaut vraiment la peine.

Quite a nice tool to use and it did the job well on the damper leg of the main fork I bought it for. It didn't fit the air leg well on said fork, but the tool fit my other forks on a quick test so I blame it on being an older fork. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase and I plan to buy more tools in the future!

Yes the said older Z2 as we talked over email, the leg is a bit deeper so the air side tool would need to be made deeper for that one. I will add a notice in the product description and will try yo make an adapter for these older models!
