Extra-Long Graduated IFP Depth ToolΒ  (For Non-Piggyback Shocks)

Designed specifically for shocks where the IFP sits deep inside the damper tube, like Rockshox Monarch R, RT3, RL, Fox DPS and others without piggybacks.

Β What It Does

This version of our IFP Depth Tool works just like the standard one, but with a longer shaft to reach deep IFP positions. Most non-piggyback shocks require this tool because the IFP sits farther down the bore of the damper tube. If your shock doesn’t have a reservoir, you need this version.

Only buy this tool if your shock model is listed as requiring it. For most modern piggyback shocks, the standard version is all you need.

Key Features

  • Graduated in both mm and inches
  • Built-in twist-lock mechanism,Β no screws, clamps, or fiddling
  • Fits any IFP shock, especially deep-body designs like the Monarch R
  • Removable tip for inside-to-outside measurements if needed
  • Printed in high-strength PETG for durability and clean interface

Β Why It’s Longer

Shocks without piggybacks store the IFP inside the main damper tube. This often means you’ll need to measure and set depths as far as 75 mm deep. Our standard depth tool can’t reach this far, but this one can.

Some models that require the extra-long version include:

  • RockShox Monarch R / RT3 / RL / XX (2013+)
  • Other inline-style shocks with >50 mm IFP depth

How It Works

  • Look up the correct IFP depth using this IFP chart or your shock manual.
  • Twist the cap to lock the depth in place.
  • Slide it into the shock to set the IFP gently at the correct depth.
  • Close your bleed port and pressurize.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • This is a final step tool, use it only after bleeding is complete.
  • Use the standard IFP Depth Tool if your shock has a piggyback reservoir (e.g., Float X2, Super Deluxe, etc.)
  • You can use it on any shock but it's longer and a bit anoying to use because of that.
  • Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol before use.
