What is your Fox fork model to send you the proper Dust Wiper Seal Installation Tool
Which Fork Lower Leg Shaft Driver Model you want?

Fox GRIP2 VVC Damper + Air Shaft Full 200h Service Toolkit (2021–2024)

Full 200-hour service kit for FOX forks with GRIP2 VVC dampers from 2021–2024 (36mm, 38mm, 40mm). Includes all the clamps, drivers, and tips you need for both damper and air shaft service.

The VVC damper is complex and underdamped, better suited for lighter riders. If you’re heavier or need more support, consider swapping to GRIPX, GRIPX2, or GRIP2 non-VVC.

Includes everything from the damper-only kit, plus tools for air shaft, dust wipers, and volume spacers.

Compatible with Fox 36/38/40 forks from 2021 to 2024 (non-taper cast only).

What's Included:

    • 10mm Shaft Clamp (damper shaft + air shaft)

⚠️ Warnings:
- Do not use an adjustable wrench ,use a chamferless socket (26–28mm)
- Clean shafts with isopropyl alcohol before clamping
- Don’t open shim stacks unless leaking or revalving
- Avoid taper-cast forks, this kit is not compatible

 Pro Tips

  • Keep LSR (low-speed rebound) fully open or as open as possible, if closed, it will choke the damper compression circuit. You should adjust the rebound with the HSR. I run my damper with LSC and HSC fully closed, LSR 3 clicks from open and HSR 3-4 clicks from closed.
  • After the damper is open and you unscrewed the sealhead using our GRIP Clamps
  • How to Clamp Damper Tubes
  • Start on rebound side of the 10mm damper shaft:
    • Clamp the damper shaft in the 10mm shaft clamp and unscrew the rebound assembly
    • pull shaft and cap together, don’t lose detent ball
    • Unscrew mid-valve (12mm), slide out sealhead, change seals, reassemble
    • Rebound side is same as 2019–2020 GRIP2 non-VVC
  • Compression assembly: unscrew and pull out, replace IFP and base valve seals
    • Do not disassemble VVC shim stack unless revalving
    • Reinstall with proper torques:
        – Mid-valve: 4.5 Nm
        – Rebound assembly: 4.5 Nm
        – Sealhead into damper: 16.9 Nm
        – Compression assembly: 16.9 Nm
        – Damper into fork: 15–20 Nm
        – Bottom nut on lowers: 12.4 Nm
    • Open all adjusters fully before reassembly or bleeding will fail
  • Fox 38 NA2 air shaft is a bit different, you have no choice but to unscrew the airshaft's tip to push out of air piston from the cylinder assembly to remove factory grease under the piston..
  • Fox 40 needs a SPA-1 Pin wrench to unscrew the air piston.
  • Never insert the damper shaft fully after the bleed is done, always leave 2-3cm from the top when stroking or the damper will not have enough oil inside.
  • Grease the Dust Wiper Seals insides and the lower leg bushings generously with SRAM Butter.
Disclaimer: DIY use only. Do not clamp near logos or threads. This toolkit assumes non-taper cast forks. See Terms of Service.
