RockShox Flight Attendant Forks Service Notes

Flight Attendant forks aren’t magic, they’re just normal forks with a fancy compression adjuster on top that’s controlled electronically. Don’t be intimidated, once you remove the control module, everything else works exactly like a standard damper.

These are found on premium Pike, Lyrik, and ZEB forks from 2022 and up. The damper is usually a Charger 2.1 or 3/3.1 (depending on the model and year), and everything else is standard once you remove the top module.

How to Remove the Flight Attendant Control Module

  • Make sure the system is in the Open position before you start
  • Press and hold the menu button until one LED pulses red
  • Remove the battery and snap in the red protection plug (if you have it)
  • Use a 2mm hex key to remove the two small (Sometimes only one) set screws on the side
  • Gently pull upward, the control module slides off completely

What’s left underneath is just a normal damper top cap, usually removed with a cassette tool or 24mm socket, depending on your damper.

What’s Actually Different?

  • Only the compression knob is replaced with a motorized unit
  • You don’t need any special tools, just a bit of extra care to remove the module
Don’t be afraid of Flight Attendant:
It looks complicated, but it’s just a servo turning your compression knob for you. The control module is easy to remove, and once it’s off, all service steps are the same as with any Charger damper.
