With is your Rockshox fork's stanchion diameter?
Do I need the 10mm shaft clamp to do the PUSH bladder rebuild?

Charger 2 & 2.1 + Air Shaft Rebuild Toolkit

This kit is for home mechanics servicing both the Charger 2 / 2.1 damper and the DebonAir air shaft. This includes tools and references for forks like Lyrik, Pike, and Yari between 2018–2022 that used these systems. Great for a full 200-hour service if your fork has some years on it.

Need Seals?

Damper Section: This damper uses a pressurized bladder instead of an IFP. Bleeding it properly is key. It also uses a flat clamping zone on the damper body, never clamp the shaft or round section directly!

Air Shaft Section: Very beginner friendly. DebonAir air shafts are easy to replace or service. Follow the service manual, clean everything properly, go light on grease, and double-check your travel before reassembly.

What’s Included in This Kit:

  • 10mm shaft clamp for the air shaft (add at checkout only if you're opening the base valve)
  • Your choosen Dust Wiper Seal Driver Tool

You’ll Also Need (Not Included):

  • 24mm socket or cassette tool (depends on your fork model)
  • Bleed syringe + hose adapter (RockShox part or brake bleed kit)
  • SRAM Butter, 3wt oil (depending on damper and air spring)
  • Dust wiper + air piston seals (included in most service kits)
Small Diameter Clamp Reminder:
If you're clamping any small shafts, always refer to the guide:
How to Use a Small Shaft Clamp

Charger 2 Damper Bleed Tips:
  • Clamp the damper by its flats : page 66 of manual
  • Use a bleed syringe to fill through the bleed port while squeezing the bladder tightly
  • Don’t skip bleeding!Β if there's air, the LSC circuit will not work
  • Do not clamp the damper shaft unless you're going into the base valve (use 10mm shaft clamp if needed)

Extra Info About the Damper Base Valve:

This damper is known to fail in the compression base valve. RockShox does not publish how to fix it, but it’s usually just an o-ring failure. You’re not doing anything wrong.

Helpful Manuals:

⚠️ Warnings:
- Do not clamp the damper shaft (unless opening base valve)
- Always depressurize the air spring before opening
- Follow all fill/bleed instructions for the bladder and shaft
- Use only correct oils and parts for your fork’s model and year
