Why You Need This

Damper shafts spin easily when you try to unscrew compression assemblies, especially with the stanchions removed from the crown. These clamps are made to hold them safely and firmly without slipping or scratching the shaft.

How to Use It Properly

• Clean well all the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol
• Wrap the shaft in one layer of clean paper towel
• Spray 1–2 shots of isopropyl alcohol inside the clamp grooves
• Insert shaft, clamp in a vise around the full diameter, not just the middle
• The alcohol increases friction and helps the clamp bite surprisingly well

Important: Even one grain of dirt between the clamp and your shaft can scratch Kashima or other sensitive coatings. Clean everything well before clamping.
