9.5 mm / 3/8″ Shaft Clamp
Designed for 9.5 mm (3/8″ / 9.525 mm) damper shafts. This size is very common for Cane Creek and Fox.

Technical Details & Compatibility
Bench-vise clamp for holding 9.5 mm / 3/8″ damper shafts during coil shock service.
- Fits: FOX DHX2 (2021–2025)
- Fits: Cane Creek Kitsuma Coil
- Fits: Some Cane Creek CS Coil (non-inline)
- Not compatible: Float X2 or air shocks, we have dedicated clamps for that to fit between the eyelet and the damper tube.
Setup & Usage
- Degrease the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol
- Wrap with a dry paper towel to improve grip and protect the surface
- Clamp with even bench-vise pressure, do not overtighten
- Heat thread-locked areas (FOX often uses red Loctite)
Fit Notes
This clamp also fits true 3/8″ (9.525 mm) shafts.
If the shaft feels loose or tight, stop and confirm you’re not on an 8 mm or 10 mm shaft. Measure with calipers if unsure.
Warnings
- Always depressurize air and damper circuits before disassembly
- Never clamp oily or contaminated shafts
- Using the wrong size will damage the shaft and the clamp
