The StemStation combines the speed of our QuickDrop with the convenience of a top tube-mounted workstation. It allows you to remove your cockpit in seconds, transfer the complete stem and spacer stack directly into a secure workstation, service your headset with everything organized, then reinstall the entire assembly just as quickly. No balancing parts, no scattered spacers, and no rebuilding your cockpit from scratch.

Important Compatibility Info
  • Compatible with virtually all mountain bikes and most e-bikes.
  • The extra-wide TPU strap fits a broad range of top tube sizes and frame shapes.
  • Soft TPU contact pads with flexible anti-slip ribs conform to the frame while protecting the paint.
  • Standard magnetic support post accommodates approximately 70 mm (2.75") of stem and spacer stack.
  • An optional 100 mm (4") support post is available for exceptionally tall cockpit stacks.
What This Tool Does

The StemStation introduces a faster, cleaner workflow for headset maintenance by combining the best features of a QuickDrop with a dedicated workstation.

Begin exactly as you would with a QuickDrop by sliding the magnetic support post through your stem and spacer stack before removing the fork. Your entire cockpit remains assembled and aligned, eliminating the hassle of balancing loose spacers or rebuilding the stack later.

Instead of placing the assembly on your workbench, simply transfer the magnetic support post into the StemStation mounted on your bike's top tube. Powerful magnets instantly locate the post, securely holding the complete cockpit while you service your headset.

The integrated storage bucket keeps headset bearings, spacers, stem bolts, the top cap, and other small parts organized, while dedicated hex key holders keep the tools you need within arm's reach.

Once maintenance is complete, simply lift the entire cockpit assembly from the workstation and slide it back onto the steerer tube in one smooth motion.

It's the speed of the QuickDrop combined with the convenience of a dedicated top tube-mounted workstation—the best of both worlds.

Usage Tips
  • Secure the StemStation to your top tube before removing the fork.
  • Slide the magnetic support post through the stem and spacer stack exactly like a QuickDrop.
  • Remove the fork and transfer the complete cockpit assembly into the StemStation by dropping the magnetic support post into the workstation.
  • Service your headset while the entire cockpit remains fully assembled, organized, and supported.
  • Store your top cap, stem bolts, bearings, spacers, and other small hardware inside the integrated storage bucket.
  • Keep your Allen keys in the built-in holders so they're always within easy reach.
  • When you're finished, simply lift the complete assembly from the StemStation and reinstall it onto the steerer tube.
  • The magnetic support post can also be used as a compact QuickDrop to help guide the cockpit back onto the steerer tube during reassembly.
  • For compact storage or travel, remove the magnetic support post and strap it directly onto the StemStation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the StemStation different from the QuickDrop?
The QuickDrop is designed to quickly remove and reinstall your fork while keeping the cockpit together. The StemStation starts with that same concept but adds a dedicated top tube-mounted workstation. Instead of placing the cockpit on your workbench, you transfer it directly into the StemStation, where it remains organized while you clean, grease, inspect, or service your headset. Once complete, the entire assembly goes back onto the bike in one smooth motion.

Why would I use the StemStation instead of laying everything on my workbench?
Keeping the cockpit upright and assembled saves time, prevents spacers from getting mixed up, and keeps all of your headset components in one organized location. The integrated storage bucket also prevents small hardware from rolling away while you work.

Will the StemStation fit my bike?
The wide TPU strap is designed to fit virtually all mountain bikes and most e-bikes. Its flexible TPU contact pads conform to a wide variety of frame shapes while providing excellent grip and protecting your frame.

How much stem and spacer stack can it hold?
The standard magnetic support post accommodates approximately 70 mm (2.75") of stem and spacers. Riders with unusually tall cockpit stacks can choose the optional 100 mm version.

What comes with the StemStation?
Each StemStation includes the workstation body, removable magnetic support post, and custom TPU mounting strap. Everything needed to mount the workstation to your bike is included.

Which Steering Tool Is Right for Me?

QuickDrop
The QuickDrop is the fastest way to remove your fork while keeping your entire headset, spacers, and stem together as one assembly. It's the ideal choice when you're servicing your fork or performing any work where the fork will be off the bike for an extended period. Everything stays together, making reassembly fast and mistake-free.

QuickDrop Lite
The QuickDrop Lite offers the same core functionality as the QuickDrop in a simpler, more affordable package. It's a great option if you want the convenience of keeping your cockpit together while working on your fork without the additional features of the original QuickDrop.

Steerer Tube Dummy
The Steerer Tube Dummy is designed to keep your bike complete while the fork is removed. It supports the frame, keeps the brake caliper from dangling by the hose, and allows the bike to be stored or transported safely without a fork installed. It's also perfect for winter storage or moving the bike around the workshop while waiting for suspension service.

StemStation
The StemStation is purpose-built for headset service. It combines the speed of the QuickDrop with the convenience of a top tube-mounted workstation, allowing you to transfer the complete cockpit into a dedicated work station while you clean, grease, inspect, or service the headset. Your spacers stay organized, your small parts stay contained, and your tools remain within easy reach for the entire job.

Still unsure?
A simple way to choose is to think about what you're servicing. If you're working on the fork, choose a QuickDrop. If you're storing or transporting the bike without a fork installed, choose the Steerer Tube Dummy. If you're working inside the headset itself, the StemStation is the tool designed for that job.

⚠️ Always ensure the StemStation is securely attached before placing components onto it. While it helps keep your cockpit organized throughout headset service, proper workshop practices remain the responsibility of the user. By using this tool, you agree to our terms and conditions.
