RockShox Forks Lower Leg Service + Dust Wiper Replacement
Full 50h/100h lower leg service for modern RockShox forks, includes both a fluid refresh and new dust wipers to keep your fork running smooth.
Select the correct dust wiper driver using our Dust Wiper Tool Finder below, the right one will be included in your kit.

Oil and Seals not included in the kit, only the dust wiper installation tool.
Apply SRAM Butter on the lower leg stanchion bushings, it makes a huge difference on the stick friction!
- Soft mallet (rubber or plastic head)
- 5mm and 2.5mm Allen key (some forks may use different sizes)
- Isopropyl alcohol + lint-free cloths
- Shock pump (after reassembly)
- Dust wiper press tool (select below)
Optional: Cassette tool or chamferless socket to open top caps. For example:

- Apply Slickoleum or SRAM Butter to new dust wipers
- Grease the bushings in the lower legs, it makes the stanchions less sticky on the bushings!
- You can use Fox 20wt Gold, RockShox 15wt, Maxima Plush, Motorex, or other thick oils, even 10w30 car oil can work (but check compatibility with seals)
- Check this oil volume list to get your fork's specs right
- Don’t forget to reinstall the sag ring and wire spring on stanchions before sliding lowers back on
- Use our Dust Wiper Tool Finder to get the right press driver
- Always depressurize air springs fully and gradually before opening your fork
- Do not overfill, too much oil may cause hydrolock
- Use isopropyl alcohol, not degreasers or soap-based cleaners
- Make sure dust wipers are seated square and flush to prevent leaks
