RockShox Motion Control Shaft Clamp (9/16")
A precision 9/16" shaft clamp (~14.3mm) made specifically for Rockshox Motion Control dampers. No other clamps fit properly, that’s why we designed this one from scratch.
They are the open bath dampers rockshox makes with their plastic compression assembly.
This clamp is required to unscrew the rebound-side mid valve without damaging or spinning the damper shaft.
Important Fit Note:
The Motion Control damper shaft is approximately 14.3 mm (9/16"). It’s too large for 14 mm clamps and too small for 15 mm clamps. This is the only size that works properly.

⚠️ Usage Warning:
Always clean the damper shaft with isopropyl alcohol before clamping. Wrap the shaft in paper if needed and do not over-tighten.
Clamping directly on a dirty or greasy shaft can lead to slippage or scoring. Follow best practices for safe use.

What It Does
- Secures Motion Control damper shafts (~14.3mm) for service
- Lets you safely remove the rebound-side mid valve without spinning the shaft
- Prevents damage from vice jaws or incorrect clamp sizes
Compatible With
- All RockShox forks using Motion Control dampers
- Common in older Pike, Lyrik, Reba, SID, Recon, Revelation, 35 Gold/Silver, etc.
- Will not fit any other dampers at all
