Fox GRIP Damper + 10mm Shaft Combo Clamp

Everything you need for full GRIP damper service, includes the GRIP body clamp and a 10mm shaft clamp for sealhead removal and internal service.

I added an image of me using a prototype clamp to show the usage on a 10mm shaft for DIY service :)

 What It Does

• Securely holds your GRIP damper body to remove or inspect the compression assembly
• 10mm clamp lets you clamp on the damper shaft to unscrew the rebound assembly or the mid valve to slide out the sealhead, to replace damper oil or revalve the mid valve.
• Supports all GRIP generations: GRIP 1, GRIP 2, VVC, GRIP X, GRIP X2
• Not needed for X and X2 but it works.
• This is all you need for 99% of GRIP damper service tasks

 Compatibility Notes

• Fits Fox 32, 34, 36, 38, and 40 forks using GRIP dampers
• Does not fit Fox forks with taper-cast lowers, support for lower leg driver coming soon
• You'll still need a 6-in-1 top cap socket like this one for damper top cap removal
• The only clamp not included is the 8mm shaft clamp (used for servicing the top cap needle seal), which is almost never needed unless you're leaking from the very top

 Extra Tips for Internal Service

• You don’t need a bullet tool to reinstall the sealhead, just coat the shaft and threads generously with Slickoleum or SRAM Butter
• Slide the sealhead in carefully from the rebound side (recommended) to avoid damaging the seal lip
• If you open the mid-valve (not recommended on VVC forks because it's very tricky to reasemble it), keep all shims in exact order and orientation, use a pick or screwdriver to hold them
• Do not open the mid-valve on GRIP2/VVC forks unless you know how to reassemble with correct float settings, incorrect reassembly will cause rebound issues or make the fork unsafe

• Fox 4wt Fluid (damper + lowers)
• Fox 20wt Gold (air shaft side)
• 60ml+ syringe (see oil volume charts)
• Slickoleum Grease (never Vaseline)
