Fox GRIP X2 Damper + Air Shaft Full 200h Service Toolkit (2025+)
Everything you need to perform a full 200h damper + air spring rebuild on a 2025+ Fox GRIP X2 fork. The GRIP X2 is the successor to the GRIP2.
The air spring is simple to service, only a 10 mm clamp, correct oil, and proper Slickoleum/Float Fluid application.

- 10 mm Shaft Clamp (damper + air shaft)
- Dust Wiper Seal Press Tool (your selected fitment)
- Lower Leg Driver (your selected size)
- Plastic NA2 Bullet Tool for 10 mm Fox air shafts
You also need the general fork service tools.
Clamp only flat/square areas, required for safe damper + air spring service.
Oil & Grease Information
- Fox 4wt oil: damper + damper-side lowers
- Fox 20wt Gold: air-side lowers and air chamber
- Slickoleum / Sram butter

Pro Tips
- Remove compression assembly; replace IFP, base valve, and thread seals
- No need to open mid-valve
- Use a 28 mm chamferless or hollow socket
- Always begin disassembly from the rebound side
- Torque compression cap to 16.9 Nm
- Never insert damper shaft fully after bleeding, leave 2–3 cm from top
- Fox 38 Factory: air shaft nut must be removed to inspect grease under piston
- Fox 40: requires SPA-1 pin wrench for air piston removal
- Grease dust wipers + bushings (SRAM Butter works great)
Warnings
- NEVER clamp round sections, use flat/square only
- Keep bleed port pointed away from your face
- Fully depressurize damper + air spring before opening
