What is your Fox fork model to send you the proper Dust Wiper Seal Installation Tool
Which Fork Lower Leg Shaft Driver Model you want?

Β Fox GRIP X2 Damper + Air Shaft Full 200h Service Toolkit (2025+)

Everything you need to do a full 200h damper + air spring rebuild on a 2025+ Fox GRIP X2 fork. This damper is the successor to the non-VVC GRIP2, with better compression/rebound control, simplified assembly, and excellent factory tuning.

The air spring can be serviced just as easily, just a 10mm clamp required, just a good setup and the correct oil and grease.

Need a seal kit? Try the Fox Float GRIP X2 Damper Seal Kit (Anso Suspension), ideal for servicing GRIP X2 dampersand they also make the air shaft kits for all fox forks and they are the same price like MTB hydraulics but the shipping is cheaper with mtb hydraulics, your call!

Β

What's Included:

Clamp only flat or square areas, this is all you need for both damper and air spring service!

Oil & Grease Info:
  • Fox 4wt oil in damper and lowers (damper side)
  • Fox 20wt Gold in lowers (air spring side)
  • Slickoleum or Float Fluid on air piston, sealhead, and wiper seals and lower leg bushings (Important!)
⚠️ Warnings:
  • Do NOT clamp on round body sections, use flat/square only
  • Never aim compression assembly bleed port toward your face
  • Rebound cap is fragile, do not pry, pull gently
  • Damper and air spring must be fully depressurized before servicing

Β Pro Tips

  • On damper: remove compression assembly, change IFP, base valve, and thread seals, no need to open mid-valve
  • Use 28mm chamferless or hollow socket to remove compression cap
  • Start from rebound side, remove cap, extract rebound shaft, grease & reassemble from rebound side
  • Torque compression cap to 16.9 Nm
  • Air spring: remove top cap, slide out shaft, inspect/grease main piston and sealhead
  • Lubricate all air seals with Slickoleum, especially quad ring and shaft o-ring
  • Cycle air shaft gently before sealing lowers to distribute fluid
  • Fox 38 air shaft is a bit different, you have no choice but to unscrew the airshaft's nut to push out of air piston from the assembly to check grease under the piston.
  • Fox 40 needs a SPA-1 Pin wrench to unscrew the air piston.
  • Never insert the damper shaft fully after the bleed is done, always leave 2-3cm from the top when stroking or the damper will not have enough oil inside.
  • Grease the Dust Wiper Seals insides and the lower leg bushings generously with SRAM Butter.
