SteerStation™ | Fork Steer Tube Offset Clamp

The best solution for fork work. SteerStation™ mounts directly to mountain bike steer tube and offsets the fork away from the vise, giving you complete positioning freedom with zero risk of crown or lowers contacting the vise body.

Important Compatibility Info
  • Designed for 1-1/8" bike steerer tubes.
  • For bench vise use only.
What SteerStation™ Does

Traditional shaft clamps force you to work too close to the vise. The vise body becomes the limitation.

SteerStation™ creates real clearance.

  • Work fully vertical without interference.
  • Rotate the fork using your vise’s rotation feature.
  • Position the fork sideways or completely upside down.
  • Offset the fork far enough to access crown, damper, air shaft, and lowers comfortably.
  • No fear of accidental contact with the vise.

It turns your bench vise into a true fork workstation.

Offset Options
  • Standard Offset (~70 mm) – Ideal for most service work. Clears the vise while keeping compact leverage.
  • Extended Offset (120 mm) – Maximum clearance and working freedom. More reach, more access, slightly higher cost.

Both versions dramatically improve fork positioning compared to direct steerer clamping.

Clamp Design & Installation
  • Secured using two M6 bolts and nuts.
  • Requires a 5 mm Allen key.
  • The internal tolerance is intentionally very tight to 1-1/8".
  • Only light tightening is required.
  • In many cases, you can simply insert the fork and begin working.
  • Minor rotation during service is normal and not problematic.

The clamp is designed for precision fit, not brute-force compression.

Important Use Warnings
  • Do not pull sideways at the tip of the fork while the tool is clamped, it would be very bad for the fork anyway and why would you do that?
  • Excessive sideways torque can damage the tool.
  • Do not overtighten the M6 bolts.

Under normal fork service use, the tool is extremely stable. Damage would only occur under abusive twisting or leverage conditions.
