One-piece elbow adapter for hand bleeding the FOX Float X2 2026+ monotube shock, no vacuum pump or syringe needed. Allows the damper to be fully filled with oil while horizontal, solving the piggyback orientation problem that makes standard vertical filling impossible.
⚠️ Important notes (read before buying)
- This tool is only intended for shocks with a perpendicular piggyback orientation. If your reservoir is parallel to the shock body, you likely do not need this tool.
- This tool is designed specifically for the FOX Float X2 2026+.
- Not compatible with the DHX2 2026+ or Öhlins TTX shocks.
What this tool does
The Float X2 2026+ perpendicular piggyback orientation makes it impossible to fill the damper vertically. When the damper tube is open and the IFP is removed, the shock must be held horizontally, making it impossible to keep the damper completely full while inserting the IFP. The oil simply pours out.
This elbow solves that problem by creating a raised oil reservoir above the shock while it remains horizontal. The damper can stay completely full during the hand bleed process, allowing the standard rubber glove technique to be used without a vacuum pump or syringe setup.
The elbow also provides additional oil volume above the shock, allowing oil to be pushed through the entire damper and helping remove trapped air before the IFP is installed.
The tool is supplied fully assembled and consists of a TPU sealing sleeve and a rigid elbow body that positions the oil column above the shock during service.
How to use
- Hand bleed the shock using the rubber glove technique.
- Insert the IFP into the shock.
- Flip the shock vertical and drain excess oil from the elbow into a container.
- Refill the damper all the way to the top.
- Install the sealhead/bearing assembly.
- Set the IFP depth according to the FOX service procedure.
- Optionally, perform a final syringe bleed, although this should not be necessary if the hand bleed was done correctly.
Compatibility

Not compatible with
- FOX DHX2 2026+ (requires the dedicated DHX2 Hand Bleed Elbow)
- Öhlins TTX Coil
- Öhlins TTX Air
- Any other shocks than the Float X2 2026+
