Float X2 2019–2020 Seal Head Splined Socket

Tool designed to safely remove the seal head on FOX Float X2 2019–2020 shocks. Available in two versions: Open (no eyelet removal) or Closed (requires eyelet removal).

What this tool does

This splined socket engages the seal head on 2019–2020 Float X2 shocks, allowing safe removal without slipping or damaging the splines. It is especially useful for routine service and oil changes.

Choose your style
  • Open socket: Slides over the shaft without removing the eyelet. Ideal for quick service, oil changes, and to avoid unnecessary wear on the very small 9 mm X2 shaft clamp.
  • Closed socket: Slightly stronger, but requires eyelet removal. Recommended only if the eyelet is already off or if full internal access is required. Will increase wear on 9 mm shaft clamps.

Compatible with
  • FOX Float X2 2019–2020
Not compatible with
  • Float X2 2016–2018: No socket needed, use a 14 mm wrench carefully, avoiding shaft contact.
  • Float X2 2021–2025: Requires a different pin socket view tool.
  • Float X2 2026+ (Monotube): Tool not available yet. Can be opened with a strap wrench if absolutely necessary.
