⚠️ Digital Product — No Physical Item Shipped

This product includes STL files only. You must print it yourself using a 3D printer. No physical product will be shipped.

The Float X 2022+ Bleed Adapter STL Pack is the digital version of our syringe-bleed fitting for the modern large-format Fox bleed port. Equivalent to Fox 803-01-691.

You get both versions in one pack: the Standard, a compression fitting for firm 4mm ID PU hose (6mm OD), and the Lite, a small adapter that screws onto the tip of your own Shimano M5x0.8 brake bleed fitting.

Our recommendation: print the Lite. It's simpler, there's no compression nut to get right, and it's the one we prefer to use ourselves.

How to identify your shock:
T8 Torx bleed screw = Float X 2022+ adapter
Allen (hex) bleed screw = X2-style adapter

Both versions are designed for pressure / push–pull syringe bleeding. Not intended for vacuum machines. Built for DIY servicing.

This is a digital STL product only. You print it yourself.

⚠️ Please Read Before Use

This is a 3D-printed tool for DIY suspension servicing. It works well when printed and used correctly, but the threads are small and precise, so print quality matters a lot.

Follow the print settings below exactly. Fine layers and a fully solid part are what make the threads strong and accurate.

Do not overtighten. The O-ring creates the seal, not the threads. Once the O-ring is seated lightly, the adapter is sealed and does not need additional torque.

Avoid pushing sideways on the fitting, twisting the hose excessively, or bumping the adapter while it is installed.

In the unlikely event that the adapter breaks inside the port, it can usually be removed in minutes by gently inserting a knife tip into the plastic and unscrewing it.

Standard vs. Lite — You Get Both

Both versions thread into the same Fox bleed port. The difference is what happens on the outlet side. Since both are included, you can print whichever suits your kit, or print both.

The Standard is a two-part fitting: a center bleed fitting and a compression nut. It only works with firm 4mm ID PU hose (6mm OD). Soft or different-sized hose will not seal. It needs a bit more care to install correctly (see How It Works).

The Lite is a small adapter that screws onto the tip of a standard Shimano M5x0.8 brake bleed fitting. It lets you use the bleed fitting and hose you already have, and works with both plastic and metal Shimano fittings.

The Lite only works if you have a Shimano-style bleed fitting in your kit, but that's the most common one out there, and nearly every brake bleed kit includes it.

Which one should you print? If you want to avoid any possible problems, use the Lite. It's the one we like best.

Why You Can't Just Use a Brake Fitting

The Fox bleed port is not a standard M5x0.8 brake thread. It is a special imperial-sized thread, much closer to M5.3x0.7. A Shimano fitting will not thread into it correctly, and forcing one risks damaging the port.

That's exactly what both versions solve: they give you the correct thread on the shock side, and a normal, familiar connection on the hose side.

Why This File Took So Long to Make

Getting a non-standard imperial thread this small to print reliably, seal properly, and survive repeated use in plastic was very hard. It took a lot of design revisions and test prints to dial in the thread profile, the O-ring seat, and the compression fitting so they work on a regular FDM printer.

What you're buying is the result of all that testing: proven geometry for both versions, ready to print.

How It Works

Thread the adapter into the shock bleed port. This is identical on both versions.

Standard: slide the compression nut onto your firm 4mm ID PU hose, then press the hose hard onto the center bleed fitting so it's fully seated. Use the small wrench to snug the compression nut. Do not overtighten the nut: too much torque distorts the fitting and it can start leaking. The seal comes from the hose being pushed on firmly, not from cranking the nut.

Lite: screw your Shimano M5x0.8 bleed fitting (plastic or metal) onto the tip of the adapter, then connect your hose to it as you normally would.

Either way, use the syringe from your brake bleed kit to push and pull oil through the damper in a clean, controlled way. Both versions are designed strictly for syringe pressure bleeding.

Confirmed Compatibility

Fox only. Compatibility is identical for the Standard and Lite versions. Threads directly into the large-format Fox bleed port used on:

  • Float X 2022+ (Factory, Performance, Elite) air shocks
  • DHX 2022+ coil shocks
  • Float X2 2026+
  • DHX2 2026+
  • 2024 Trunnion Float X2 (the only model from the older generations that requires this fitting)

Important:
This adapter uses the special Fox imperial thread. It does not fit older Fox X2-style bleed ports, and it is not intended for other brands.

Print Specifications
  • Material: PETG
  • Layer height: 0.12 mm
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Walls: 5 walls
  • Infill: 100% solid (5 walls fill the part completely)

The part must be 100% solid. With 5 walls, the walls fill the entire part, so there is no infill pattern inside. Do not reduce the wall count or increase the layer height. The fine layers are what give the threads their accuracy, and a solid part is what gives them their strength.

A well-calibrated printer makes a real difference here. If the threads feel loose or tight, check your flow and dimensional accuracy before reprinting.

What’s Included
  • Center Bleed Fitting STL (Standard version)
  • Compression Nut STL (Standard version)
  • Small Hose Installation Wrench STL (Standard version)
  • Float X 2022+ Lite Fitting STL (Shimano M5x0.8 outlet)
  • 4 STL files total. No physical item is shipped.

Not included: the O-ring, hose, syringe, and Shimano bleed fitting. You will need to supply these yourself. The Standard requires firm 4mm ID PU hose.

Warnings & Limitations
  • Print it solid: use the exact settings above. A weak print is much more likely to break in the port.
  • Do not overtighten: the O-ring makes the seal, not torque.
  • Be extremely careful not to break the adapter inside the shock. If it starts to feel tight, stop immediately.
  • You do not need to thread it in deeply, once the O-ring seats, it is sealed.
  • Standard version: only works with firm 4mm ID PU hose. Press the hose on hard and do not overtighten the compression nut, or it can start leaking.
  • Lite version: requires a Shimano M5x0.8 bleed fitting from your own kit. Plastic or metal both work. This is the version we recommend for the most trouble-free bleed.
  • Not designed for commercial vacuum bleed machines.
  • This tool assumes basic damper service knowledge.
