It hooks between the handlebar and brake lever to hold the lever engaged with steady pressure. This can help during brake bleeding, and it also locks the wheel so the bike stays put during car-side or trail-side work.

This STL pack includes all 3 hook sizes, with different depths between the lever bite point and the bar contact area. That gives you a much better chance of getting the right fit and pressure for your setup.
