DHX2 2026+ Hand Bleed Elbow

One-piece elbow adapter for hand bleeding the FOX DHX2 2026+ monotube shock, no vacuum pump or syringe needed. Allows the damper to be fully filled with oil while horizontal, solving the piggyback orientation problem that makes standard vertical filling impossible.

⚠️ Important notes (read before buying)
  • Make sure the protective sleeve is installed on the damper tube before fitting the elbow — without it, the TPU sleeve will not seal correctly.
  • The shock damper tube protector sometimes stays stuck into it, just pull it out.
  • This tool is designed for the DHX2 2026+ only. The Float X2 2026+ version is not yet available.
What this tool does

The DHX2 2026+ piggyback orientation makes it impossible to fill the damper tube vertically — you can't insert the IFP into a fully filled damper because the shock has to be held horizontally, and the oil simply pours out. This elbow solves that problem.

The tool slips over the protective sleeve on the damper shaft and redirects the fill port upward, so the shock can lie horizontal while the damper tube stays completely filled with oil. You can also use the standard rubber glove technique to push oil from the elbow all the way through to the other side.

The elbow is a single assembled piece made of two components: a TPU press-fit sealing sleeve that seals over the damper tube protective sleeve, and an oriented elbow that directs the fill port upward during horizontal filling.

How to use
  1. Hand bleed the shock with the rubber glove technique
  2. Insert the IFP into the shock
  3. Flip the shock vertical, drain overflow oil from the elbow into a pan
  4. Refill the damper all the way to the top
  5. Screw the sealhead/bearing assembly
  6. Open the bleed plug and set IFP depth as normal
  7. Optionally, use a Float X2 2022+ bleed fitting to syringe bleed the shock, though this should not be necessary if the hand bleed was done properly
