CoilTracker Clip • Patent Pending

Quickly check how much travel your coil shock actually uses.

What it does

Coil shocks do not use sag rings like air shocks, so it is difficult to see actual travel usage.

The CoilTracker clips directly onto the spring and moves as the shock compresses during riding.

It gives a quick visual way to check travel usage, bottom-out, spring setup, and suspension tuning without disassembling the shock.

Compatibility & included parts
  • Fits most trail, enduro, and DH coil shocks (DH Version)
  • Designed for approximately 45–65 mm stroke shocks
  • Works with most standard coil springs

Included:

  • Tracker body
  • 2 sag rings
  • 3 × S clips
  • 3 × M clips
  • 3 × L clips
  • Clip gauge tool

The clip gauge helps you quickly determine which clip size fits your spring.

Choose the clip that feels snug without excessive force.

Too loose = may slip.
Too tight = may damage the clip.

Example fitments:

  • S → Ohlins Yellow SL
  • M → FOX Steel
  • L → FOX SLS / Cane Creek PROG
How to use
  • Use the clip gauge to select the correct clip size
  • Install both clips onto the tracker body
  • Clip the tracker onto the spring
  • Keep it roughly centered on the usable spring area
  • Check clearance at full compression
  • Go ride
  • Check tracker position after the run

Do not position the tracker too close to the ends of the spring.

During full compression, the coils can close onto the tracker and break the clips if it is placed in a coil-bind area.

See product photos for positioning examples.

The kit includes 2 sag rings.

Because the tracker only measures movement over part of the spring length, the second ring is used as a corrected full-travel marker.

Use our calculator to determine where to position the second ring for accurate full-travel indication.

Real-world use notes

Tested on trail, enduro, and downhill bikes, including European DH / EDH race setups.

When properly installed, the tracker normally stays in place during riding.

Most accidental losses happen while carrying the bike, leaning it against objects, or transporting it.

May not fit all frame and shock layouts.

Always verify that the tracker cannot contact the frame, linkage, piggyback, or other components at full compression.

⚠ Disclaimer

This is a temporary setup and measurement tool, not a permanent installation.

Depending on riding conditions and bike layout, the tracker may move, loosen, or come off.
