Cane Creek HELM Full Rebuild Kit – 200h Service (Air/Coil Forks)
Everything you need to rebuild your Cane Creek HELM Air fork at 200 hours: damper, air spring, and lower-leg service with dust wiper replacement. Works for both MKI and MKII.
Don’t forget to put a lot of SRAM Butter on the lower-leg stanchion bushings and inside the dust wiper seals, the secret to almost zero stiction.
What’s Included
- Dust Wiper Press Tool: 35 mm (shared with RockShox Lyrik)
- 8 mm Shaft Clamp: for HELM air spring shaft
- 10 mm Shaft Clamp: for HELM damper shaft
Only the specialty tools listed above are included. Oil, grease, and wipers must be sourced separately.
What You’ll Need (Not Included)
- Lower leg service: 13 mm socket, Motorex 15 wt, 35 mm wipers, alcohol
- Air spring service: 22 mm socket (MKI), circlip pliers (MKII), Slickoleum, picks
- Damper service: 30 mm chamferless socket or 6-in-1 top cap tool, slim wrench or 10″ Knipex, Fox 4 wt or Motorex 2.5 wt
- Red Loctite (rebound shaft tip), Blue Loctite (optional for top cap)
For full details, see the rebuild guides below.
What This Covers
- 50h service: replace dust wipers + foam rings
- 200h air spring rebuild: clean, grease, replace o-rings if needed
- Full damper oil change + optional full damper disassembly/bleed
- Works for all HELM Air forks: MKI + MKII
MKI vs MKII – Differences You Should Know
- Air spring: MKI uses a 22 mm socket; MKII uses a circlip
- Damper: MKI just needs bleed/oil; MKII needs a 20 mm crowfoot for sealhead

⚠️ Warnings
– Fully depressurize air spring + press equalization button (MKI).
– Never strike or force the damper shaft, use shaft clamps properly.
– Many riders only need a damper bleed, not a full teardown.
– Be careful with detent balls under the top cap, easy to lose.
– Use correct oil weights: 15 wt (lowers), 2.5/4 wt (damper).
