Cane Creek HELM Full Rebuild Kit – 200h Service (Air/Coil Forks)

Everything you need to rebuild your Cane Creek HELM Air fork at 200 hours, damper, air spring, and lower leg service with dust wiper replacement. Works for both MKI and MKII.

Don't forget the put a lot of sram butter on the lower leg stanchion bushings and inside the dust wiper seals! Quite the secret to have a very good fork with almost no sticky friction (Stiction).

What’s Included:
  • Dust Wiper Press Tool : 35mm (shared with RockShox Lyrik)
  • 8mm Shaft Clamp : for HELM air spring shaft
  • 10mm Shaft Clamp : for HELM damper shaft

Only the specialty tools listed above are included. Oil, grease, and wipers must be sourced separately.

What You’ll Need (Not included in the kit):
  • For lower leg service: 13mm socket + wrench, Motorex 15wt fork oil, 35mm wipers, isopropyl alcohol
  • For air spring service: 22mm socket (MKI), circlip pliers (MKII), Slickoleum, pick tools
  • For damper service: 30mm chamferless socket (or use the 6-in-1 Top Cap Tool), 10" Knipex or slim wrench, Fox 4wt (or Motorex 2.5wt) damper oil
  • Red Loctite for rebound shaft tip; Blue Loctite for damper top cap (optional)

For full details, see our linked rebuild guides below.

What This Covers:
  • Replaces dust wipers and foam rings (50h service)
  • Rebuilds the air spring: clean, grease, replace o-rings if needed
  • Full damper oil change and optional damper disassembly/bleed
  • Compatible with all Cane Creek HELM Air forks (MK1 & MK2)

MKI vs MKII Differences:

  • Air Side: MKI uses a 22mm socket to remove the negative sealhead. MKII uses a circlip.
  • Damper Side: MKI does not require full disassembly, just a bleed and oil refresh. MKII uses a 20mm crowfoot to tighten the sealhead.
⚠️ Warnings:
– Always depressurize the air spring fully and press the equalization button on MKI forks
– Do not hit or force the damper shaft, use shaft clamps properly
– Rebuild the damper only if needed, a bleed may be enough for many riders
– Don’t lose the detent balls under the damper top cap (easy to lose!)
– Use the correct oil weights: 15wt for lowers, 2.5wt or 4wt for damper
Disclaimer: DIY at your own risk. This product only includes the tools listed. Check torque specs and Cane Creek manuals before beginning. See our Terms of Service.
