Β Cane Creek Helm (Air) Fork 50h Lower Leg Service with Dust Wiper Replacement

Lower leg service for all Cane Creek Helm Air forks with fresh oil and dust wiper seal replacement. Refresh performance, reduce friction, and extend fork life.

Works for original Helm and MKII

This service adds dust wiper replacement to the standard 50-hour lower leg service. You’ll need a 35mm dust wiper press tool, the same tool also works on RockShox Lyrik, pre-2024 boxxer and similar forks. Use our Dust Wiper Finder to confirm compatibility.

The 35mm Dust Wiper Tool is shown on a 2013 Rockshox Boxxer R2C2 Fork

Apply SRAM Butter on the lower leg stanchion bushings, it makes a huge difference on the stick friction!

What You’ll Need:
  • 13mm socket
  • 13mm and 18mm open-end or crowfoot wrenches
  • Torque wrench (capable of 5–7 Nm)
  • Pick (for foam rings and removing old seals)
  • 35mm Dust Wiper Press Tool (required for reinstallation)
  • Motorex 15wt Racing Fork Oil
  • Isopropyl alcohol + lint-free cloths

Only the 35mm dust wiper tool is included with this listing. If you're missing basics, check our Essential Tools Starter Pack.

Pro Tips:
  • Never hit the foot nuts and if you really need to, never hit small shafts coming out form the center!!
  • Add 10–15 psi to the air spring before reinstalling lowers to extend the shaft
  • Don’t overtighten the nuts, they are sealed by O-rings, not torque
  • The 35mm wiper tool also fits RockShox Lyrik, great if you own multiple forks
  • Use our Torque Calculator to tighten bolts with a luggage scale
⚠️ Warnings:
- Only for Cane Creek HELM Air forks
- Always depressurize slowly and equalize charge before service
- Never strike damper or spring shafts, push gently while pulling lowers
- Use correct oil volumes and reinstall wipers evenly
