38mm Fork Stanchion Clamp Tool – For BoXXer 2024+ & Öhlins DH38

Made specifically for 38 mm diameter stanchions found on the new RockShox BoXXer (2024+) and Öhlins DH38. This clamp helps you securely hold the stanchion tube in a bench vise for damper service without damaging the surface.

Why You Need This

• Double crown forks don’t connect the stanchions through the crown, when removed, they spin freely.
• You’ll need a solid clamping point to open compression or damper assemblies, which are often torqued tight.
• This clamp provides a secure, non-damaging grip when used correctly.

How to Use It Properly

• Thoroughly clean the stanchion with isopropyl alcohol.
• Wrap a clean sheet of paper towel around the shaft.
• Spray 1–2 times inside the clamp with isopropyl alcohol. It increases grip, no idea why, but it works extremely well.
• Place the clamp fully around the stanchion. Do not clamp across the middle with partial contact, you need full 360° surface contact, either vertically or slightly diagonally.
• Clamp in your bench vise gently but firmly. If it slips, stop and check your prep, you likely missed something.
