35mm Shaft Clamp for Fork Stanchions
A precision clamp made to hold 35mm diameter stanchions securely in a bench vise. Especially useful for working on double-crown forks like the older Boxxer models where the stanchion tubes rotate freely when removed from the bike.
Zero chances of scratching the stanchion if you clean it well and there is no dirt or debris.
β οΈ Important: Read the full guide before using this clamp:
How to Clamp Large Diameters (Guide)
Always clean the stanchion thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and wrap in paper before clamping. Apply a bit of alcohol directly on the paper, strangely, it helps the grip. Never clamp dry or bare without a good clean with isopropyl alcohol.

What Itβs For
- Clamps directly onto 35mm diameter stanchion tubes
- Holds the fork leg securely while unscrewing compression assemblies
- Essential for servicing older dual-crown forks (Boxxer 2011β2023)
- Helps prevent fork rotation when applying torque
Compatibility Notes
- Fits RockShox Boxxer 2011β2023 (35mm stanchions)
- Does not fit 2024+ Boxxer forks:Β those use 38mm stanchions
- Also works with other 35mm stanchion forks (older Marzocchi 888, etc.)
Specs
- Inner Diameter: 35.00 mm
- Designed for vise mounting with soft jaws
Extra Tip: If your stanchion is greasy, dusty, or slightly oily, the clamp will slip. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol, then wrap with printer paper or a paper towel, and youβll be surprised how well it locks in. Add a tiny dab of alcohol on top of the paper, it helps it stick even more.
Disclaimer: Always clamp with care. Never overtighten. This is a DIY home-use tool for careful riders who understand safe service techniques. See our Terms of Service for full details.
