31.6 mm Dropper Post Shaft Clamp Tool

Designed specifically for 31.6 mm diameter dropper post shafts. This clamp allows you to securely hold the post tube in a bench vise during cartridge or head service without damaging the anodized surface.

Why You Need This
  • Dropper shafts are thin-walled and spin freely once removed from the frame; without a clamp they’re difficult to service.
  • Cartridge and head assemblies are often torqued tight, requiring a stable grip to loosen safely.
  • Provides full 360Β° surface contact when used correctly, minimizing risk of scratches or deformation.
⚠️ Warning

Even a single grain of dirt or uneven clamping can permanently scratch or dent the shaft. If the post slips:

  • Clean both the clamp and the shaft with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Wrap the shaft in one layer of paper towel or shop towel.
  • Re-clamp using even pressure, never crushing force.
How to Use

Follow the safe procedure used for all large-diameter clamps:

  • Clean the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Wrap in one layer of paper towel or shop towel.
  • Close the clamp and apply even clamping pressure in a bench vise.
