⚠️ Important Safety Warning

Always depressurize air and damper circuits before disassembly. If your shock or fork is still pressurized, removing the eyelet, sealhead or opening the damper in general can cause injury or damage.

14 mm Shaft Clamp

Designed for 14 mm damper shafts, mostly used on modern coil shocks from boutique brands. Not compatible with air shocks, they never use big shafts like that.

⚠️ Product photo shows the DHX2 3/8″ clamp as an example. Actual 14 mm version may differ in appearance and the diameter will look a lot bigger.

What It Does

This clamp securely grips large-diameter damper shafts in your bench vise during service. It’s perfect for safely holding the shaft during eyelet removal or mid valve disassembly. The bore is tight-fit and internally ribbed to prevent rotation under torque.

  • Fits: EXT V3-S, V4 (some versions)
  • Fits: SR Suntour VORO coil shocks
  • Fits: MRP Hazzard
  • Fits: DVO Jade and Jade X Coil
  • Not compatible: With most air shocks or smaller shafts

Tip: Shaft size may vary between brands or even generations. If the clamp feels too tight or loose, verify the shaft diameter with calipers before applying torque.

Setup Instructions

  • Clean the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, multiple passes
  • Wrap it in a dry paper towel to increase grip and reduce risk of slippage
  • Apply even vise pressure, never overtighten
  • Heat the Loctited section (eyelet or piston), many brands use red Loctite

Match Your Torque: Use our luggage scale torque calculator to estimate safe torque on stubborn parts.

⚠️ Reminder: Improper cleaning, oily shafts, or using the wrong clamp size will lead to slippage and clamp damage. If it doesn’t fit easily, double-check your shaft diameter and ensure the clamp is fully seated.
