14 mm Shaft Clamp
Designed for 14 mm damper shafts, mostly found on modern coil shocks from boutique brands.
Product photo may show another clamp as reference. Actual 14 mm version may differ and will appear noticeably larger.
Technical Details & Compatibility
Bench-vise clamp for securely holding large-diameter (14 mm) damper shafts during coil shock service.
- Fits: EXT V3-S, V4 (some versions)
- Fits: SR Suntour VORO coil shocks
- Fits: MRP Hazzard
- Fits: DVO Jade and Jade X Coil
- Not compatible: Air shocks or smaller-diameter shafts
Setup & Usage
- Degrease the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol
- Wrap with a dry paper towel to increase grip
- Clamp with even bench-vise pressure, do not overtighten
- Heat thread-locked sections before applying torque (many brands use strong Loctite)
Fit Notes
Shaft diameter can vary by brand and generation. If the clamp feels too tight or too loose, stop and verify the shaft diameter with calipers before applying torque.
Warnings
- Always depressurize air and damper circuits before disassembly
- Never clamp oily or contaminated shafts
- Using the wrong clamp size will damage the shaft and the clamp
