Not 100% needed but nice to have tools or things.
Nice tools to have for Shock Maintenance
These tools aren't required for every job, but when you do need them, they're critical, and usually under $100. Perfect for keeping your work clean, safe, and precise.
10" Knipex Long Nose Pliers
Essential for opening Fox DHX, DHX2, and other shocks with narrow wrenching flats. No other tool fits. What an amazing tool, to be honest, it's a must, trust me.
Stainless Steel Dental Tray
13.5" × 9.5" tray to keep seals and parts clean during rebuilds. Stainless, easy to clean, fits in most workstations.
Custom Trunnion Shock Holder
Clamps M10x1mm trunnion shocks safely in a vise. Prevents damage and allows precise torque.
Custom Eyelet Torque Tool
Lets you torque standard shock eyelets accurately without damaging the shaft. Critical for Fox, RockShox, etc.
Magnetic Parts Tray
Keeps bolts and metal spacers secure while you work. Great with the dental tray for complete organization.
8" Digital Caliper
For accurate measurement of shafts, bushings, hardware, etc. Always go with 8" because 6" is never quite enough for some reason.
Cleaning Supplies and Brushes
Use isopropyl alcohol and shop towels for everything. Cleanliness matters, especially in dampers.
