Advanced Bike&Rider specific Coil Spring Rate Calculator

How This Calculator Works  and Why I Made It

I always struggled with coil spring calculators. They were always off sometimes by 50 lb/in or more and I never really understood why…

Most calculators just guess based on weight and travel, ignoring your actual bike geometry, leverage ratio, progression, or how the shock moves through its stroke.

This one is different. It takes into account:

  • Your total weight with gear
  • Rear-wheel bias based on chainstay and wheelbase
  • Linkage progression (you can enter the real % or pick a preset)
  • The effective leverage ratio at sag
  • Even adjusts for riding style, shock brand, and high-pivot bikes
