Help Us Build a Kit for Your Shock
If you’re seeing this, it means we don’t have a full rebuild kit for your model yet.
If you help us test and measure a few things, you get:
- 50% off all tools that are guaranteed to work (example: shaft clamps)
- Free tools that require prototyping or multiple attempts
We don’t release kits unless we’ve had the shock in hand and tested everything. Some models (especially boutique brands like Öhlins, EXT, Push, Fast, Formula) are still missing real-world fitment data.
If you’re rebuilding one this winter, this is a solid way to save money and help the DIY community at the same time.
Timing disclaimer +
Some tools can ship right away. Others depend on what we discover during your rebuild.
Expect multiple rounds of shipping while we prototype and refine.
It won’t be instant, but you’ll end up with the correct tools at a big discount (or free).
What we’ll ask from you +
- Shaft diameters
- Distance between pin holes
- Damper body diameters
- Notch count + depth (where applicable)
- Any weird details we discover mid-rebuild
Once we have the key numbers, we send a private discount link, then ship tools as soon as they’re ready. We’ll stay in touch during the rebuild.
What we need in return (photos / short videos) +
We’ll ask for a few clear pictures or short videos so we can confirm fitment.
With your permission, we’ll also use them in product guides to help the next person.
Precise measurements required +
You’ll need a digital caliper accurate to ±0.02 mm or better. Plastic or loose calipers won’t cut it.
Cheap one that works fine: Digital caliper on Amazon (~$20)
We use Mitutoyo for max precision, but that one is totally fine for prototyping.

Shocks we need help with +
- RockShox Deluxe (non-piggyback): need the small socket that goes on the main piston.
- RockShox VIVID Air (older generation): need a few diameters and some unknowns along the way. We have prototypes.
- Cane Creek DB Kitsuma (coil or air): prototypes exist, need testing + a few remaining dimensions.
- Cane Creek DB CS Coil: kit is basically ready. We want you to test the pin socket and send pics. Prototype tool is free.
- Older Fox forks (FIT CTD and Terralogic): different clamps than modern forks and lots of cone wrenches. If you plan to do it, we can help you through it. measurements. Also want to verify our syringe bleed fitting on 2026+.
- Fox Float DPX2: base valve tool needed (turret socket). Not sure yet how to make it in plastic.
- Fox Float DPS and SL: need tools for the main piston (deep socket style). If you want to do it, message us.
- Öhlins / EXT / Push / Fast / Formula: we can build tools for these, but we need real measurements. EXT can use heavy threadlocker and uncommon sockets, so proceed carefully. For some Öhlins coil shocks you can open it without special tools, but air versions will need measurement help. Push ElevenSix may open with a 35mm stem as a wrench (we want to confirm).
We don’t publish tools unless we’ve tested them ourselves. If you’re rebuilding one of these, we’re confident we can figure it out together.
