Why We Paused Shipping to the U.S.

Even though we provided all the correct paperwork, including proof of Canadian manufacturing, tariff codes, and proper CUSMA/NAFTA documentation, U.S. Customs still added duties and fees. In some cases, orders under $100 were charged almost $100 in extra costs.

Packages were also frequently held at customs, creating long and unpredictable delays. Even when we replied immediately, customers still faced long waits and extra expenses.

Shockwave Parts is a small, independent business. We can’t absorb random charges, re-ship packages stuck in customs, or cover costs that often exceeded the value of the tools themselves. Continuing to ship to the U.S. simply isn’t sustainable under these conditions.

Riders across Canada and worldwide can still order our tools at fair, flat shipping rates, but the U.S. remains the one exception. Until customs regulations change, reopening U.S. shipping would put us at significant financial risk.

While we can’t ship physical tools to the U.S, you can still get some of the tools we make by purchasing our digital STL files:

We’re really sorry. We know this is disappointing for riders in the U.S. and it wasn’t an easy decision. We hope to ship to you again someday and we truly appreciate your understanding and support.
