9.5 mm / 3/8″ Shaft Clamp
Designed specifically for 9.5 mm (or 3/8″ / 9.525 mm) damper shafts. This size is mostly found on coil shocks, not air shocks or forks.

What It Does
This clamp locks a 9.5 mm shaft into your bench vise during damper service, including piston removal or eyelet installation. The bore is tight-fitting and ribbed internally to prevent rotation under torque.
- Fits: 2021-2025 Fox DHX2
- Fits: Cane Creek Kitsuma Coil (confirmed)
- Fits: Some Cane Creek CS Coil (non-inline)
- ❌ Not compatible: Float X2 or air shocks with eyelet attached
Tip: This clamp is also a match for any 3/8″ damper shaft (9.525 mm). If your shaft feels loose, confirm you're not mistaking it for a 10 mm or 8 mm shaft, use calipers when in doubt but be careull not to scratch the shaft.
Setup Instructions
- Clean the shaft thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, multiple passes
- Wrap it in a dry paper towel to increase grip and protect the surface
- Apply even vise pressure, never overtighten
- Heat Loctited areas like the eyelet, FOX often uses red Loctite
